FINAL LEG OCT 2021


We have been so fortunate to have nice weather and a great site and view in Killbear Provincial Park.  We were able to cycle a bit, relax and enjoy the park, the changing colours. We even saw two deer!

We were also fortunate to have some family join us for Thanksgiving, cooking a Turkey roll in the oven and all the fixin’s along with yummy homemade desserts courtesy of Amie.




 


We managed a bit of a hike:  pic from behind is Dad and Daughter.  





The park is fairly busy and will stay open until the end of October for camping.  


This whole trip has been an electrical shortage (LOL.). On our last night in Killbear, a bit of a storm and the power went off for about 4 hours.  Wasn’t sure if it was going to come back on and reverted to our portable power plant (Jackery) which is a 1000 watt Lithium 120 volt/USB, 12 volt battery pack that will run just about anything in the trailer.


Along the way
 


We are now in Waterloo/St. Jacobs where we will wind down our camping season, winterize (pink Champaign/non-toxic antifreeze in Miss Adventure Too’s veins) and clean the trailer, and head for our storage facility.  ):  ):  ):  ):  sad faces.

    We enjoyed visiting! Who knew making a turkey dinner could be that easy in a trailer!

  Peterborough/Ottawa 16 Sept. 2021 So by now you know we like to cycle. Peterborough has a great trail/rail trail system and today we cycled to Lakefield for lunch at the Nutty Bean Café…a great place for lunch.   We returned on the same trail which is fairly flat with a very low grade approx. 36 km round trip.   This is the furthest in one day for us this year.   We used to ride as much as 80km and I have rode (ridden?) as much as 166km (100 Miles called a “century”) but that was BC (Before Covid) and BHBABTBRC (Before Hearts/Before Ankle Breaking Tandem riding/Before Rotator Cuff surgery)   If you don’t know us, let’s just say we have had some setbacks but still enjoying the ride as much as possible.   Elizabeth received a new bike this May.   It was a year in the making but well worth it.
